Well I have a thousand pictures. I don't know why every Easter we take a thousand pictures. It's not like it's the most important thing or the focus of this most special holiday, but for some reason, cameras come out and my whole family takes gobs of pictures. I guess because we're all together and we're all dressed nice (as opposed to Christmas, when we're all dressed in sweats...) Most years, that's when my dad sets up his fancy shmancy camera and we take a family photo for the year, but this year he ended up having to work last minute, so we didn't get a good family photo of all of us. However, we took plenty of high quality phone photos, and I'm posting them all! These are from Easter Sunday, as well as a few from the week before.
My little helpers...we made sugar cookie bars:)
Decorating all by herself was so fun!
The finished product, with a little help from mom;)
Our sweet neighbor came over and helped the girls die eggs. Lily's method was the best: Rub paint on the egg and then violently smash it on the counter before yelling "more egg!!!"
It was a beautiful morning, but really cold and windy! We all ran for jackets after a few pictures!
Cousins. A constant giggle fest.
First ever easter egg hunt in the front yard. They had sooo much fun. I put a fruit snack in each egg. Pretty lame huh. Hey, they don't know about all the fabulous easter candy out there. I was trying to avoid the sugar high/sugar crash on the long drive home!
We don't take things too serious. Just practicing our sweet cheerleading moves and stuff.
A normal day.
Dad couldn't be there, but us 'kids' got a picture with Mom:)
I hope your Easter was just as lovely and that you were able to slow down and take in the significance of the day. The day we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is risen!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
